SIGN AND SYMPTOMS OF ACUTE RENAL FAILURE


Next section to be discuss by our blog is about the sign & symptoms of acute renal failure. For those with ARF, it is difficult to notice any sign or symptoms that indicate the progress of the failure. However certain sign & symptoms that listed above may help us:

Ø  Decreased or lower the quantity of urine production(oliguria)



  Ø  Edema, swelling of body especially ankles, feet, hand and face


  Ø   Nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite



-       Ø   Changes in mental status, confusion & poor of concentration

  Ø  Shortness of breath(dyspnea)
  Ø   Pain in the back just below the rib cage (flank pain)




  Ø Breath odor & metallic taste in mouth

  Ø  Fatigue, anxious and restless.

  Ø  High blood pressure

  Ø Dehydration & extreme thirst 

      Ø Seizures or coma in severe cases

  Ø Chest or abdominal pain



  Ø  Blood in urine(hematuria)

  Ø Decreased in sensation, especially in hand or feet
