STAGES FOR CHRONIC RENAL FAILURE

This article will briefly talk about the stages of chronic renal failure (CFR).

Basically, the severity of CRF is classified by assigning stages based on the glomerulus filtration rate (CFR).  Table below shows the classification of stages in CRF.

Stage	Description	GFR (ml/min/1.73m2)
1	Kidney damage with normal of high GFR	90
2	Kidney with mild, reduced GFR	60-89
3	Moderate reduced GFR	30-59
4	Severe reduced GFR	15-29
5	Kidney failure	<15
